Who I am

This website is run by Azim Meghani, a Learning & Development consultant based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. I am responsible for the personal information collected through it. For any privacy question or request, email azim.megz@gmail.com.

What I collect

I only collect what you choose to give me through a form on this site:

• Join the Community: your name, email address, phone number, city and time zone, and, if you choose, your organization, job title, current situation, what you want from the community, and how you heard about it.
• Apply for Help: your name, email address, phone number, what you need help with, and a short description of your situation.
• Contact: anything you include when you email or call me.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, the site may record basic, anonymous visitor statistics, such as pages viewed, the type of device, and the country you are visiting from. These statistics do not use cookies and do not identify you.

To protect the forms from spam, the site briefly checks the internet address a form is sent from. That address is not saved with your information.

Why I collect it

• To review your request to join the community and let you know the outcome.
• To send you meeting invites and community updates by email and text, if you agreed to receive them.
• To respond to your request for help or your enquiry.
• To keep the site and its forms secure.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and I do not use it for any purpose you have not agreed to.

Your consent

By sending a form, you agree to the use of your information as described here. The forms ask for your express consent before I send you emails or texts.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. To stop emails, reply "unsubscribe" to any email. To stop texts, reply STOP to any text. You can also email me directly. Withdrawing consent will not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Who can see your information

Only I can see the information you send. I use trusted service providers to host this website, store form submissions, and send emails and text messages. They handle your information only to provide those services to me and are required to protect it.

Some of these providers store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities.

How long I keep it

I keep your information while you are part of the community, or for as long as it takes to deal with your request. If you have had no contact with me for two years, I delete it. If you ask me to delete it sooner, I will do so within 30 days.

How I protect it

Information sent through this site is encrypted in transit. Stored information is kept in password-protected accounts that only I can open. No system is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email azim.megz@gmail.com and I will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle personal information, I will update this page and the date below. If the change is significant, I will let community members know by email.
